Book: Chinese instructions for this natural remedy for fevers.

Notes: This is the obverse of the block (#113 is the reverse). Translation: "Lu Remedy No. 39. Secret made bitter tea (from anise). Brew and mouth rinse. All fevers shall subside. The sick ones would avoid ache."

The Lu deity (born in Tang dynasty AD 796 was said to have lived to be 120-130 years old! This block is probably from the late 19th century.
