Ambroise Pare (ca. 1510-1590). Book: Les oeuvres d’Ambroise Paré. Date: ca. 1585. Ambroise Pare is considered one of the "Fathers of Surgery." He wrote extensively on surgical topics and also on "monsters." This block shows conjoined twins that were reproduced in multiple editions of his seminal work.
