DTREMUS, R. OGDEN, New York city, graduated in medicine over forty years адо, and has devoted himself to the pursuit of the sciences of chemistry and toxicology. He was one of the founders of the Bellevuc hasp. med. coll., New York, and since its establishment has filled the chair of chemistry and toxicology. He is also prof, of chemistry in the New York coll., a literary institution, and lectures on the same subject in several other educational establishments. From time to time he has appeared as я lecturer on the same subject before general audiences. His services are constantly in requisition as an analyst, subjects for analysis being sent to him from all parts of the United States. He is married and has several children. One of his sons. Dr. Charles A. Doremus, has acted as his assistant at Bellevue and elsewhere for some years.
