Expanded Photos of Cased Surgical Sets

Urological Surgery Set ca. 1750

This is an early cased urology set. The instruments are mainly gorgets and forceps for extracting bladder stones.

There is an unusual early bistoury cache with wooden handle. These instruments are made of hand forged steel and have a very "homemade" feel to them. The set may have been made in France.
