Note: there are no 'periods' after USA, Hosp, or Dept on the 5 3/4" oval cobalt.  This point was cross checked by a longtime collector as he looked at his dug oval cobalts and found the same missing periods.  On the round 6 3/4" cobalt and smaller cobalt ovals, the periods are there.  The concern was prompted by fakes missing the periods in some cases.  So missing periods on 5 3/4" cobalt ovals are normal.
